Minnesota has 87 counties, each keeping its own court, property, vital, and law enforcement records. The state is split into 10 judicial districts, and every county district court falls under one of them. The Court Administrator in each county manages case files and handles records requests. Property records go through the county Recorder and Assessor. Sheriff offices hold incident and arrest data.
